How Adoption Works

1. Apply
Submit an application so we can learn about your family and what you're looking for in a puppy.
2. Review
We carefully review each application and reach out with any questions.
3. Approval
Approved families are invited to move forward with a reservation.
4. Reserve
A $500 non-refundable holding fee secures your place in line. Deposits are applied toward the total adoption fee, and puppies are reserved in the order deposits are received.
5. Matching
As the puppies grow, we evaluate temperament and thoughtfully match each puppy with the family that fits them best.
6. Go Home
Puppies go home with health records, early crate exposure, a starter kit and continued breeder support.Pickup meetups are available in Newport, Bangor and Waterville.

Reserving Your Puppy

Once your application is approved families may place a non-refundable deposit to reserve their place in line. Deposits are applied toward the total adoption fee and secure your spot for the current or next available litter.Puppies are reserved in the order deposits are received, and we thoughtfully match each puppy to the family that best fits their personality and lifestyle.

Puppy Matching

As the puppies grow, we carefully observe their personalities, confidence levels, and energy levels. This allows us to help guide each puppy to the family that will be the best long-term fit.

Go-Home Day

When your puppy is ready to go home, you will receive their health records, information on their early crate training, a starter pack, and a personalized puppy scrapbook documenting their time with us.

Pickup & Delivery

Puppy pickup is available at no charge via meetup in Newport, Bangor, or Waterville, Maine.Alternative meet-up or delivery options may be available to approved families for an additional fee and can be discussed.
